1. Data we collect

- Automatically: via server logs and analytics tools (see Cookies and analytics)
- From third parties only with consent: for example if you provide a link to an external portfolio or a public social profile we may collect data displayed there, but only as visible publicly.
We will notify you at collection if we collect information in ways you may not expect (as required by the APPs.)
3. How we use your data
- We collect and use your personal information to:
- Respond to job, contract or consulting enquiries and to communicate with you;

4. Cookies, analytics and third-party services
We may use third-party services to operate and measure the website (for example web hosting, analytics providers and email services.) These services may collect information in order to provider their functionality.
- Web hosting provider – stores website files and logs
- Analytics – collects aggregated usage data to help improve the website.
- Form/email providers – receive contact form submissions so we can reply.
- Payment providers (e.g., Stripe) – process payments securely. Payment details such as card information are handled directly by the provider and are not stored on our servers.
- We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioural metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our products/services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies to determine the popularity of products/services and online activity. Additionally, we use this information for site optimization, fraud/security purposes, and advertising.
You can control cookies via your browser settings and opt out of some analytics tracking (for example using the analytics provider’s opt-out). We encourage visitors to review cookie notices and the privacy policies of those third parties. When we disclose data to third parties we limit what is shared to what is necessary for that service to operate.
5. Cross-border transfers
If personal information is stored or processed outside Australia (for example by cloud hosting providers or analytics tools located overseas), we will take reasonable steps to ensure the information is protected and that overseas recipients handle it in a manner consistent with Australian privacy principles. For EU/UK personal data, we will consider and apply the safeguards described in OAIC guidance (for example standard contractual clauses or other appropriate protections) where relevant.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected, or to meet legal, business or audit requirements. For example:
- Contact form submissions: retained until you ask us to delete them or for up to 2 years unless needed for an ongoing matter;
- Analytics: retained in anonymised or aggregated form according to the analytics provider’s retention settings.
If you want information deleted earlier, contact us. We will assess retention requests in line with legal obligations and reasonable business needs.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference or loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. These steps include using secure hosting providers, HTTPS, reasonable password management practices and limiting access to personal data. If we become aware of an eligible data breach we will follow the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme obligations and notify affected individuals and the OAIC as required.
8. Access, correction and deletion
You may request access to or correction of personal information we hold about you. If you ask us to delete your personal information we will consider the request in light of our legal and contractual obligations and any legitimated grounds to retain the information.
